A week-long discipleship-focused intensive every August for ages 14+.

Young artists will gather together to engage in training, learn innovative ways of communicating the Gospel, and receive encouragement in their spiritual development, artistic excellence, and leadership in arts ministries.

TAMC26

TAMC26 will feature exciting changes meant to revitalize the delegate experience and offer new curriculum, schedules, and classes that will cater to an individual’s interests and strengths while offering opportunities to push themselves outside of their comfort zone.

Participant Requirements

  • 14-years-old by August 1, 2026

  • Creative Arts Director/Corps Officer/divisional representative approval

  • Active in corps or church programs

  • Complete the online application

  • Submit a video audition

  • Completed health forms

  • Completed waiver
Cost

  • Eastern Territory Students: $180 (charged to the Corps)

  • Out-of-Territory Students: $450

  • If an approved/accepted delegate drops out within 2 weeks of the start date, the Corps will still be charged the full amount

How To Apply

All prospective delegates must:

  1. APPLY through your preferred major track online form below by February 16, 2026 at 11:59pm.
  2. AUDITION through video submission to your preferred major below, including corresponding video requirements by February 16, 2026 at 11:59pm.
  3. APPROVAL by your Corps Officer, Creative Arts Director, Divisional Commander and Arts Ministries (don’t fret, we will take care of that.)
  4. ACCEPTANCE letter/email received from Arts Ministries.
  5. AFFIRM your attendance by responding to our email.
  6. ASCEND (Upload) your 3 required forms – links and forms coming soon.
  7. ARRIVE ready for an awesome week!

Some definitions for TAMC26 that you might find helpful as you get ready to audition!

Major Tracks

These look a little different this year!

Your primary learning focus at TAM Conservatory.

These classes meet twice a day. You will need to submit a video audition to be considered for your Major Track.

Minor Tracks

New for TAMC26!

Your secondary learning focus at TAM Conservatory.

Your Minor Track is a supplemental time of study that meets once daily. You do not need to have any experience to sign up for a Minor Track and do not need to submit an audition video to be considered.

Workshops

New for TAMC26!

A one-time lesson with a unique, specialized curriculum.

Workshops will be a time once a day to learn a brand new skill, have a discussion with a Salvation Army leader about topics that matter to you, or do an intensive study in an art form that might change your life.

Audition Resources

Applicants will submit one prerecorded audition/introduction video. This video should include:

  1. A brief introduction:
    • Name
    • Corps and Division
    • A little bit about you!
  2. Current involvement in Corps and Divisional Arts programs.
  3. Reasons for wanting to attend TAM Conservatory 2026.
  4. Top Three Major and Minor Track Choices and why you’d like to study them.
  5. A talent presentation, of the applicant’s choosing, related to the applicant’s top Major Track choice. Approximately 3 minutes.

Audition Material Suggestions

Applicants pursuing performance-based majors should present material appropriate to their discipline. Star Search solos will be considered, as long as the applicant is fully visible and feels that it shows the best of their abilities.

Applicants pursuing behind-the-scenes or leadership-focused majors should use the video to discuss their experience, skills, and learning goals.

Carol Jaudes Award

In honor of Carol’s legacy and her tireless contribution to arts ministry, the Carol Jaudes Award has been instituted. An annual, full-ride Territorial Arts Ministries Conservatory scholarship will be awarded to a delegate demonstrating the highest level of excellence. Always prompt, present, and prepared, this delegate will embody the spirit of TAMC, echoing the memory of who Carol was.

Major Hollie Ruthberg Scholarship

Major Hollie’s first love was the Lord and then with that, ministry through the Arts. Through over 50 years as an Officer she was a minister, composer, performer, playwright, conductor, author, and designer, and for the Territorial Arts Ministries Conservatory (TAMC) it was in supporting the program through costume design and creation.

She became a key part of the TAMC, always going above and beyond to get the job done right. Her sensitivity to individual needs, attention to detail, and dedication to the Lord was unmatched. She elevated the arts and through that elevated people.

The Major Hollie Ruthberg Endowment Fund awards the recipient with automatic placement and financial support to the TAMC.
