Joy regularly visits the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City to perform for child patients with cancer, pulmonary disease, heart disease, sick cell anemia, and other related health concerns. These interactive experiences in their Wintergarden Programming bring hope and joy to those receiving care by providing a temporary distraction from illness and treatment through the art of storytelling. Each story performed at MSCH is created and written by the Arts Ministries Bureau specifically for the child patients and are presented by their favorite colorful characters! After performances conclude, performers will often sit down with the child patients to work on crafts with them, and engage in fun meet and greets as their characters.
