Bringing joy to the children in our communities through the art of storytelling.

DONATE to Joy
The Salvation Army’s Story Time Performance at NY-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital has truly been a gift — a source of joy, hope, and inspiration for our deserving children and their families. In what can often be a difficult and uncertain time, the performance show creates moments of light and happiness, filling the hospital with joy that brightens the hearts of those who need it most. It offers more than just entertainment; it offers emotional relief, comfort, and a sense of connection. For our families, it’s a reminder that even in the midst of challenges, joy can still be found through entertainment. And for our staff, it brings a sense of unity, strengthening the bond between us all and reminding us of the healing power of compassion.
Micaela Tabing, Volunteer Coordinator - NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital
I can envision the smiles from those experiencing the ministry of Joy. I see firsthand what joy happens at OOB. How much more of Heaven’s blessings coming through you and Joy as you bless the children in the hospital. Truly innovative and transformative. Biblical justice and righteousness lived out in our lives today.

Ministries

New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital

Joy regularly visits the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City to perform for child patients with cancer, pulmonary disease, heart disease, sickle cell anemia, and other related health concerns. These interactive experiences in their Wintergarden Programming bring hope and joy to those receiving care by providing a temporary distraction from illness and treatment through the art of storytelling. Each story performed at MSCH is created and written by the Arts Ministries Bureau specifically for the child patients and are presented by their favorite colorful characters! After performances conclude, performers will often sit down with the child patients to work on crafts with them, and engage in fun meet and greets as their characters.
